Part-Time Position (22.5 hours/week)
Children's Advocacy Programs of the Blue Ridge, Inc. is seeking to fill a Family Advocate position. This position responds to child victim needs and non-offending caretaker requests by providing information, referral, advocacy, and educational support. Provides assistance with the management of the regional multi-disciplinary system response to allegations of child abuse and neglect. This position will coordinate intervention services recommended by victim case reviews and identifies barriers that may prevent the family from receiving services. This position will also conduct forensic interviews, once trained to do so. This is a grant-funded position. A Bachelor's Degree, plus at least a two-year's experience in the areas of volunteer management, child welfare, human services, or juvenile justice required. A Master's Degree is preferred. Background checks will be conducted prior to consideration of employment. Position salary negotiable ($12,987-$13,820) plus limited benefits available.
