Rivet Machine Operator A
Duties: Operates rivet machine (spinner or automatic) to install rivets with washers and/or bushings for the purpose of assembling parts to form a complete mechanism or sub-assembly. The operator picks up parts from a truck located beside the work station and/or a sub-assembly part placed on work table from prior work station. Installs the specified number of rivets, and places aside for the next operator or to pan, normally involves an assembly line or a two or more rivet operation. Each operator is responsible to retrieve rivets, washers, etc. from the proper storage bins. Set-up of machine and movement of trucks is formed by the set-up person and/or the supervisor. Group works as a assembly line and coordination of movements is very important.
Performs other related work as required. Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner. Observes plant safety rules. These duties will not be considered the only requirement of the job. Emergency conditions may require work in other departments or sections.
Forming Press Operator B
Duties: Operates press to form, shape, or punch out part per required specifications. Secures parts for processing and moves to machine. May be required to operate different machines.
Primary Press Operator B
Duties: Following is a list of the principal duties of a press operator.
1. Operate Press and all associated pieces of equipment (i.e. feeder, straightener, coil or reel, etc.).
2. Load steel. Raw material is moved to machine by material handler.
3. Monitor quality.
4.Maintain accurate record as to quantity, steel poundage and part numbers.
5.Make minor repairs as needed (i.e. punch replacement, bolts, nuts, chutes, guards, kickers, etc.).
6. Maintain safety standards (including machine guards and noise abatement methods).
7. Maintain area around press system in an orderly manner.
8. Perform minor functions involved in set-up procedure and assist in setting up of press as needed.
9. Use proper lock-out procedures when making adjustments or replacing parts.
10. May be required to operate different machines.
11. Secure empty container when necessary. Apply at 325 Kettering Rd. HP NC 27263.
Inspector
Duties: Conduct diversity of inspections which may include first piece inspections, in-process sampling, or final floor/bench inspections of parts or products. Check parts or processes for conformity to drawings or specifications. Follow standardized procedures with allowable variations defined. Devise ordinary gauging or measuring setups or make adaptations to inspection equipment or fixtures. Exercise authority to stop production or notify supervisor in case of excessive defects. Use precision measuring instruments, micrometers, gauge blocks, veneer calipers, meters, indicators, etc.
