Booth Attendant
Job Description
Reporting to the Lead Cashier/Administrative Assistant, the Booth Attendant performs a variety of tasks to assist the mission of Parking & Transportation in serving the Virginia Tech Community. Duties include serving as parking booth attendant/cashier within the parking structure, front counter customer service representative, support of University-wide events, and some garage cleanup.
Required Qualifications
Strong customer service experience.
Cash handling experience.
Working knowledge of computer software including cash register databases.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse and irate customers in a team-based environment.
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Position requires the ability to move and handle up to 30 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks, sitting, and standing for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience performing daily funds reconciliations.
Previous customer service experience in a high traffic area.
